da bwin: West Ham United are considering offering £20m to Real Betis for the signature of forward Antonio Sanabria, according to Marca.
What’s the word?
da prosport bet: Manuel Pellegrini has certainly made his mark in the transfer window after becoming the Hammers’ new manager.
The Chilean has recruited seven new signings, including Felipe Anderson and Jack Wilshere.
It seems that the former Manchester City boss is not done yet, though, as Sanabria is believed to be next on the list.
Marca report that West Ham are planning to offer £20m for the 22-year-old, who is valued at just £6.7m by Transfermarkt.
Pellegrini looks as though he wants to strengthen the club’s attacking options after Andy Carroll was ruled out for three months with injury.
Is Sanabria a decent target?
The Paraguay international’s goal return is not the most prolific as he has netted just 22 goals in 68 appearances in La Liga.
However, it is worth noting that he is still in the early stages of his senior career.
Last season, Sanabria found the back of the net eight times in 17 outings, but he struggled with a knee injury.
In fact, the forward missed 19 fixtures as a result of the problem, and it is not the first time that he has been hit with injury woes.
During the 2016-17 campaign, Sanabria was struck down on three separate occasions with groin, muscular and bone problems.
West Ham are all too aware of what it is like to have a striker constantly on the treatment table, therefore it would not make much sense to spend over odds for another injury-prone forward.
