da bet nacional: Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has revealed that Ryan Shawcross has suffered a recurrence of a foot injury which has already kept him sidelined since February.
da betsul: The defender has not made an appearance for the Potters since his challenge on Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey which left the youngster with a horrific broken leg during a 3-1 defeat at the Britannia Stadium in February 27.
In the aftermath of the incident, Shawcross was handed a first call-up to the England squad and could make the final 23-man party for this summer's World Cup.
"He's hurt his foot again," Pulis told The Sentinel.
"He's gone in for a challenge in training and had a kick right on the spot, so there's no way we could risk him again.
"He's a very important player for us and we are determined to go carefully with him.
"We want him to go with England to South Africa and if that were to happen it would be a great achievement for the lad and for the football club.
"But our priority is the team and it won't do Ryan any good to put him back in before he's really ready."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
