When Newcastle only managed to secure Kenedy on loan this summer, many fans felt the club had refused to splash the cash for a permanent deal, but the winger’s recent comments suggest that he may not even want a permanent move.
The 22 year-old became an instant fan favourite on Tyneside last season for his positive play, important goals, and unrivalled passion, but these comments have not gone down so well.
“I arrived at 19 (at Chelsea), very young. It was good to be loaned to get more playing time; better than staying at Chelsea and not playing,” he said.
“I hope this year I can make a good season for Newcastle and go back to Chelsea to continue.

The winger has had a horrible start to the season, failing to complete a single pass during the first half of the draw at Cardiff before missing a penalty in stoppage time.
