da wazamba: Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a summer move for Bayer Leverkusen forward Andre Schurrle, according to The Telegraph.
The Germany international has impressed domestically and in the Champions League in his first season at the BayArena, after signing for the Bundesliga club from Mainz last summer for £6.5million.
It is believed that a bid of between £14 million and £15.5 million will be necessary to see the 21-year-old allowed to negotiate personal terms with the west London club.
Chelsea have already announced the signing of Marko Marin from Werder Bremen, and it is believed that Roman Abramovich will splash the cash this summer to reinvigorate an ageing Stamford Bridge contingent.
With Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou out of contract in the summer, new attackers are one of the Blues’ main priorities, with the likes of Gonzalo Higuain, Hulk, Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi listed as possible targets.
However, Schurrle will now also be a case in question, as the Blues look to challenge for the Premier League title once more.
