The Sun journalist Alan Nixon has provided a clue into how January might pan out for Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes following his rampant return to the starting line up.
What’s he said?
The Owls thrashed Nottingham Forest 4-0 on Saturday afternoon with the club-record signing netting the ‘perfect’ hattrick, scoring with both feet as well as his head – one of which was an impressive bicycle-kick.

Rhodes ended a 20-month wait for a goal in Wednesday colours as he started just his second Championship outing of the season.
With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, there has been uncertainty mounting over his future at the club.
Nixon was asked about this on Twitter, he replied:
On the radar?
Rhodes has had to be patient for a chance up in south Yorkshire, but it’s clear to see that he is starting to have some sort of impact towards the decision-making of manager Garry Monk.
He’s featured in three straight matches for the first time this season, and now with a trio of goals, he’s going to be even harder to ignore going forward.
Nixon references that he’s ‘on the radar’ so might the club be tempted to sell if any offers come in next month? We’ll have to wait and find out.
Ultimately, Wednesday could do with a player of his style as it’s so different to their other options and as shown this weekend, he could be the strike partner Steven Fletcher has needed in that 4-4-2 system all season.
It’s yet another game that the Owls have stuck four first-half goals against another team when playing that system. Rhodes could yet play a crucial part in their promotion push this campaign.
