da bet sport: Chelsea new boy Eden Hazard is expecting a ‘tough test’ when Chelsea take on Atlético Madrid in Friday’s Super Cup final in Monaco.
da bet esporte: The Belgian has made an impressive start to life at Stamford Bridge since his big money summer move from Lille, scoring once, winning two penalties and providing three assists, helping Chelsea pick up maximum points from their opening three matches.
Hazard is enjoying his time at his new club and has explained what a big step up the move has been for him. Speaking to UEFA.com he said: “It’s totally different. Even in the United States [where Chelsea toured in July], we are famous.”
With Lille we could have gone to the south of France and people wouldn’t have recognised us. Chelsea are a very big club. The players are at another level, the academy is at another level. Everything has changed [for me] – the language has changed, the country has changed – it’s up to me now to adapt.”
Friday’s showpiece occasion is an opportunity for Hazard to show his skills to a wider audience and continue the impressive form he has shown in the Premier League. However, the Belgian is not going to let complacency deny him his first silverware with his new club and is fully aware of the threat Atlético pose.
He said: “They [Atlético] are a great team with great players. I hope it will be a good game and that we win, to claim my first trophy for Chelsea. But we expect nothing less than a tough match against a great team. It will not be easy.”
“I am not here to be a star, to show off. I am here to play for my team-mates
.”
He added: “On a personal level, I hope to play as much as possible, do my best when I am on the pitch, gain the confidence of the coach and repay that confidence.”
