da aviator aposta: There is no doubt that the central midfield area was a real weakness for West Ham Unite during the 2017/18 season, and it was clear that Manuel Pellegrini needed to put things right when he replaced David Moyes during the summer.
The Chilean boss would have hoped that the additions of Jack Wilshere and then Carlos Sanchez would have gone some way to finding a solution to the issue, but that hasn’t proven to be the case so far this term with it once again being one of their main shortcomings during four successive Premier League defeats.
The former Manchester City manager has already tried a number of different combinations – including Declan Rice, Mark Noble and Pedro Obiang on top of the summer signings – and while Wilshere has been a regular, the others have largely been in and out of the starting XI.
Given the quality that he has, it seems as though Wilshere will continue to be a mainstay in Pellegrini’s team and if the east London outfit stick with just two players in the middle of the park, then the former Arsenal man will only have one partner.

With captain Noble and Rice already struggling in the defensive midfield role this season, and with doubts over Sanchez after he was criticised by his own fans on Twitter following the loss against Wolves last time out, that leaves Obiang.
