da jogodeouro： Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to their win over Southampton, and they’re running out of good things to say about Joe Gomez.

Liverpool fans were worried when reports emerged that Dejan Lovren would miss the start of the season through injury, but Gomez has quickly emerged as one of the best young defenders in the league.
The Reds beat Southampton 3-0 on Saturday courtesy of an own goal and goals from Joel Matip Mohamed Salah, but Gomez stole the show once again.
The former Charlton star was granted a rest by Jürgen Klopp, as the boss opted for Matip alongside Virgil van Dijk to start the match.
Van Dijk was forced off around the hour mark with a rib injury though, and Gomez reminded fans exactly why he will remain first choice even when Lovren is fully fit.
The 21 year-old’s pace, composure, reading of the game and ability on the ball are all sensational, and it’s looking like a real stroke of genius from Klopp to ease him in at full back before using him centrally for the first time this season.
