da pinup bet: According to a recent report from The Daily Mirror, Morgan Schneiderlin’s future is far from certain heading into the January transfer window. The France international currently plays his football at Premier League outfit Everton and has done so since the start of 2017, although a lack of game time under new manager Marco Silva this season has thrown his future at the club into doubt.
da bet vitoria: In fact, Silva is reportedly unconvinced by the 29-year-old to suggest that his future lies away from Goodison Park, and that should be of keen interest to West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini, who should seek to finally solve his big issue in the centre of midfield by landing the £18 million-rated ace (as per Transfermarkt).
The Breakdown
Ultimately, the midfield ranks have been a problem at the London Stadium for some time now, and they certainly weren’t helped during the summer given the Hammers sanctioned Cheikhou Kouyate’s move to Crystal Palace – and while the Senegal international wasn’t always convincing for West Ham, he certainly added greater strength and depth to that area of the pitch.
And while his departure does appear to have opened the door for Declan Rice to produce the goods in the middle of the park, injuries to Jack Wilshere and Carlos Sanchez, the latter out for a prolonged period of time, again leaves Pellegrini short in that department, both in depth and on overall quality.
And that is why Everton’s Schneiderlin, formerly of Manchester United and Southampton, would be the ideal addition in January in a bid to finally solve their glaring problem.
The Frenchman made the move to Goodison Park back in January 2017 after struggling greatly at United, and certainly made a big impression in his first few months on Merseyside with several impressive performances in the second half of the 2016/17 season – he did a great job of breaking up play and indeed getting on the ball to help carry Everton up the pitch.
But that was as good as it got for the 29-year-old as he failed to reach that level last term under a combination of Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce, while failing to make any of Silva’s last five matchday squads suggests that he is again down the pecking order.
But that shouldn’t detract from how good Schneiderlin was at Southampton between 2008 and 2015, what with the Frenchman proving to be a hugely adept midfielder at Premier League level, be it on the ball looking to launch attacks, or indeed off it in screening the backline and reclaiming possession.
Alongside the tenacious Rice, the 29-year-old could seriously flourish in the heart of Pellegrini’s midfield, with Schneiderlin without doubt the man to finally solve West Ham’s problem in that area of the pitch.
