Suggesting that Everton should try to re-sign Lukaku would have been unthinkable last season, but in the current campaign, the forward has only scored four goals and has not struck the back of the net since mid-September.
Depending on United’s end-of-season transfer plans, there may be an opening for rival clubs to make a move for Lukaku, who has 31 goals in 67 appearances for the Red Devils.
