da leao: West Ham United fans will be hoping that their side can get back to ensuring some consistency after the international break, as they’re still in with a good chance of securing a place in Europe.
da spicy bet: The Hammers have come on leaps and bounds after a nightmare start to life under Manuel Pellegrini. Indeed, supporters will agree that he’s done a solid job up until this point, despite having to deal with a number of injuries.
But, one thing that has been worrying fans in recent times has been Felipe Anderson’s future at the London Stadium, as according to Sky Sports, Real Madrid have identified the Brazilian as a potential alternative to Eden Hazard.
Anderson has been one of the standout performers for the Hammers in the current campaign after joining from Italian side Lazio back in the summer transfer window. The 25-year-old has created plenty of excitement at the London Stadium having produced nine goals and five assists, so supporters would be gutted to see him leave.
Of course, finding a replacement for the winger could prove extremely difficult as he’s settled down to life in the Premier League without any trouble.
However, Manuel Pellegrini may already have a replacement up his sleeve in the form of Andriy Yarmolenko, who’s spent most of the season out on the sidelines after having surgery on a torn Achilles.
Indeed, the Ukraine international managed to produce two goals and one assist in nine Premier League appearances prior to suffering his injury. West Ham fans will agree that he managed to get everybody out of their seats during his nine appearances and constantly terrorised the opposition’s defender, so he could be a real danger next season.
He shares similar attributes to Anderson as they both look to use their pace and dribbling ability to get into attacking areas and the 29-year-old has already shown he can produce and create. Another thing that the former Borussia Dortmund man uses to his advantage is his height, which could cause problems with crosses coming into the box.
Yarmolenko during his short space of time in the side showed glimpses of something special, so he could step into the daunting role of potentially replacing Anderson next season. And, in doing so, he would save David Gold and David Sullivan from spending millions of pounds on a replacement if the Brazilian was to leave in the summer.
