da premier bet: [ad_pod ]
da bwin: What do players do when they’re not playing regularly and don’t appear to be catching the manager’s eye? Fire some thinly veiled nonsense at their manager of course.
Nemanja Matic was one of the Premier League’s leading defensive midfielders in his time at Chelsea, but his decline at Manchester United has seen his role significantly diminish.
The Serbia international has played just 22 minutes this season for the Red Devils, and his limited opportunities in the first-team have certainly caused a bit of frustration.
Speaking whilst on international duty, Matic said (as quoted by Sky Sports): “The coach must opt for the team that will fight for the title and if he does not win, he bears the responsibility”.
Essentially, the 31-year-old has publicly declared that if United don’t end up winning the Premier League this season, it will be because Solskjaer isn’t good enough. Sounds pretty logical.
After hearing Matic’s comments, United fans flooded to Twitter to share their thoughts about the midfielder’s apparent dig at the manager.
Many supporters of the Manchester side hailed the former Chelsea ace for speaking his mind and insisted people hated to see it because he is right.
Some Red Devils fans revealed they completely agreed with the 31-year-old’s sentiments, with one supporter claiming Matic knew “what it means to be associated” with United.
